Agreement
These terms apply whenever you use Talko — the website, the web app, the desktop app, meetings and booking pages. By creating an account or joining a meeting, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, ask us at support@talko.contact.
Beta service
Talko is currently in beta and free for everyone. That means features may change, be added or be removed as we build, and we can’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. We’ll do our best to give notice before any significant change to what’s free.
Your account
- Provide accurate information when you sign up.
- Keep your credentials to yourself — you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person; you must be at least 13 years old.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Talko to break the law or harm others. In particular, don’t:
- harass, threaten or abuse people in meetings, through booking pages, or via the support form;
- share illegal content or infringe others’ rights;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or access it in ways it isn’t meant to be accessed;
- impersonate others or misrepresent who a booking is from.
Meetings and recordings
Hosts control whether a meeting is recorded. If you record, you are responsible for informing participants and complying with the consent and privacy laws that apply to you. What participants say and share in meetings belongs to them.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you create or share on Talko. You give us only the limited license we need to run the service — transmitting your audio and video to other participants, storing recordings you make, and sending booking emails on your behalf.
Termination
You can stop using Talko and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk — where reasonable, we’ll warn you first.
Disclaimers and liability
Talko is provided “as is” during beta, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
Changes
We may update these terms as Talko evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version, and continuing to use Talko after a change means you accept the updated terms. For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
